When They See You
My skin is beautiful to me, but a blinding issue to others. It has been proven many times and it continues. Where I find myself to be rational they see irrational – when I express my feelings anger is the immediate thought. When I explain myself, the words run together – leaving no room for them to read through the lines. Because of that I must be direct – yet my directness is aggressive and uncalled for. Why do I have to struggle to prove myself and others like me have to prove themselves so hard?
They call us angry…
They call us irrational…
They call us lazy…
They call us unprofessional…
They call us hysterical…
They call us thugs…
They call us overly sensitive…
They call us animals…
They call us aggressive…
If they want to call us aggressive – WELL THEN
Show them what YOU CAN DO!
